DO WE LIVE AS IF WE BELIEVE JUSTICE IS IMPORTANT

PLEASE DON'T THINK OF THE LEGAL SYSTEM HERE: THAT IS NOT JUSTICE. IF THAT CLOUDS YOUR MIND JUSTICE WILL NEVER MAKE SENSE.

This thing about Justice was very important to Jesus. The other thought that has been on my mind almost none stop this year has been about control. If we continue to live trying to control our enviroment by controlling the people around us, to get what we want, it is impossible to live justly with anyone. Contolling anyone is exploiting them for something I want from them. The best we get from that is forced conformity. Forced conformity will always cause a violation of justice for someone. I don't know if it is possible for society at large to opporate justly under this idea? How do they not at some point violate someone somewhere? My question has become this. With Christ as my example, and His call for his followers to learn to abide in Him and He will abide in them, I think living justly with all those around me becomes possible. It is all I can do. I must become just through life in Christ. He is the only person to have ever done it perfectly. Being as He is, is the ideal. No one outside of Him has a chance when it comes to this idea of justice. I must start with myself and how I live.

Kent,

I came across and article on leading vs. controlling a little while ago. I posted an excerpt on my "miscellaneous articles" blog. Here is the full link.

Thought you might like it.
