CRASH AND BURN

**************************Update***********************************
This story made the St. Louis news stations. Live video of her Nissan Maxima stuck under the back end of the school bus. It makes me think of a line in the song Anna in another post below, that I said reminded me of my relationship with my girls: Well the news made her more than a name but, barely.

Our oldest daughter was in an car accident this morning. She is okay. Just a case of serious whiplash and a car that I am sure is totaled. She said the brakes failed and she had no way to stop the car before it hit the back end of a school bus. This could have been much worse.

Things can happen so fast. We are not in control of our safety or our kids. I'm reminded of the post awhile back about the present moment being all that exists. Always remember to hug your loved ones before they go out the door. And when you see them the next time even if it is after they have made a mistake or by accident wrecked a car, give them hug and tell them you love them and that we will face it all together.

DON'T LET THE MOMENT GET AWAY.

It's a beautiful day - don't let it get away :)

It is beautiful here. And it's beautiful to hear that your daughter is okay (although I'm sure she's not feeling so okay right now)

we have actually made it a fun day. the fact that it is on tv has been funny. We have ended up poking fun at her about it. When I told her it was on Fox World News she about feel out of her chair. We all got a big laugh out of that one.

Here is another cool thing. I'm not stressed or fearful about the car being totaled and the expense that it is going to be. Papa will work out whatever he is going to work out. And we will accept whatever that means.

The wreck and how it happened has changed my daughter's mind about wanting a smaller car. I am glad she was in the Maxima.

Sue, I had copied a line from Beautiful Day to post in this story but then changed my mind. Thanks for adding it for me.

Gosh, Kent, I feel like such a bad friend!!

I am so glad she is okay. My son had a MINOR bump up a couple of weeks ago, but it made me a wreck!!

no worries at all Joy.

I was an amazing sense of peace I had even before I knew whether she was okay or not. Papa has been teaching me that he is always here with me and with them.....the outcome of it all I am learning to put in his hands.

I hope yo have calmed down Joy and I hope your son is doing well.
