My daughter is in the process of preparing to audition for acceptance into College and she is pursuing dance. She is trying to decide between two songs right now that she will have to choreograph a dance for. Anyone out there want to vote on what you think would be better?
I want to see her dance to both of them. If she does, maybe I will post a video on youtube sometime soon. She is a graceful beautiful dancer. I've been moved to tears a few times seeing her ensemble group dance and some solos she has done.

wow, I love both of those songs. Will she use that version of With or Without You? If so, I think I would choose that one ... it makes an incredible song hauntingly beautiful.
I can imagine my own daughter, my oldest, dancing to that one.
Oh great, now I am crying ... it's only 6:45 am ... and I am already crying.
I miss seeing her dance. It's been so long. It's something I pray will be restored to her someday.
Yes Cynthia, she would use that version done by the Belgian girls choir. I think she is leaning towards it?

Oh, and I am sorry for that making the tears flow. I hope you get to see your daughter dance again someday soon also.
The answer is obvious: Yes and Yes. Both are songs of longing for completion, relationship, "the other." Both would make beautiful interpretive pieces. YES and YES!
Thanks Tim. Ever since you posted the girls singing With or Without You way back whenever it was, I have wanted her to do this. I just mentioned it to her back then when I first saw it. It was fun when she came home last night from practice and asked me which one of the two she should focus on. She is saying she wants to do them both now.
It all came about again last night as they were warming up to music from U2.
