While listening to this song this morning I was reminded of something from Anne Lamott's book GRACE (eventually). This is from The Muddling Glory Of God.
It's muddling on our side, but God the Father knows exactly what he is doing and the more I see those two things juxtaposed to one another the more humbled I am and the more rest becomes a reality in my life.
Describing grace and healing.
"scootch, scootch, stall, scootch, stall, catastrophic reversal, bog, bog, scootch. I wish grace and healing were more abracadabra kinds of things; also, that delicate silver bells would ring to announce grace's arrival. But no, it's clog and slog and scootch, on the floor, in silence, in the dark."
Be encouraged....we have a lover...a patient pursuing lover like no other.

:) So true.
Definitely experiencing this right now. It's a good reminder while in the lower spots that it isn't the end but one moment in the process. Thanks.
this is a beautiful truth....i loved the song and the picture, and I loved Lamott's snippet....very candid.
thanks,
todd

I especially loved this....pray for me...that it becomes more of a reality for me as well ha ha!
"I have a lover, a lover like no other" and the more we allow that to sink in and begin to live like we believe it the more real it becomes. I really think that is the fulfilment of "Know the truth and the truth shall set you free."
