It's felt so wonderful having been freed from allowing the political madness to distract me from the beauty that surrounds us and the beauty that is locked up inside people just waiting to be freed. Politics in all it's manifestations destroy beauty because politics are about power, control, manipulation, and domination.Okay, call me naive but most people seem to see Jesus' message as naive also so I feel as if I am in great company. I included the Over The Rhine video simply because I love the heart of thinking artists and their ability to inspire and how they challenge the status quo.
The truth is we are stuck in a struggle and what seems simplistic gets stepped over for that which is complicated and impossible. There is no solution to be found in the world's competing political ideologies. They actually are a tool in the perpetuating of the mess humanity is caught in.
I had a client awhile back tell me he has concluded that the artists in the world are the prophets that he sees as being able to speak into the mess and cross boundaries and build bridges politicians can't. Maybe he is right. I know it is the artists that have inspired me and have played a part in awakening me and helping me see the blinding destructive ideologies that I had lived trapped in.
While walking the dogs earlier this week I had this thought run through my mind. We all are artists. The Creator designed us that way. For those out there who don't think they are artists I have this to say.....You are and if you don't feel it or see it, it is because the world has stolen it from you and God wants to restore the heart and the mind and the soul of the artist back to you and breathe life into it once again.

We could all add another verse
Life would teach us to rehearse
Till we found a key change
Break out of this minor key
Half-truths and hypocrisy
We wouldn’t need an underachiever-in-chief

Grace is the song and the song is a person.

Amen! Since leaving the trappings of Religion, Papa has/is simultaneously turning around all previous ways of thinking and rebuilding that which is rooted in love and Truth. Regarding the whole politital landscape, thinking about such things...wow! My whole understanding and mindset about the Kingdom of our Father vs. the kingdoms of this world...radically altared. I'm so glad, too, that Papa woke me up before this election. I have a peace within my spirit and don't get all riled up and tossed around in the drama I see happening with many people regarding the election.
Trusting Papa brings a smile to His heart, and a peace within mine.
It's my prayer that more will experience this reality.
