Maybe we’re best close to the ground.
Maybe angels drag us down.
I wonder which part of this will leave a scar.
There have been so many things going on in relationships around me as of late these lyrics from Over The Rhine's song Faithfully Dangerous have been constantly popping up in my mind.
I named my blog in light of this song and some relational stuff that was happening in my life at the time.
The scars of that time left me with a limp. There seems to be something very important about being reminded that we are better off living close to the ground....grounded....even when we are learning to fly.

This too is perfect. I will be praying about your recent situations. Ah...how relationships are such the most beautiful gift...yet at the same time, how some can be so painful, challenging or a mixture of both.
Over the Rhine, they really know how to make music...that has depths of meaning, as well as sounds great.

Relationships are so darn complicated.
The parts that left the scars for me are the parts that served to make me who I am (whoever that is). That became the basis of my perceptions in all my other relationships. Guess that's why I don't have very many close ones.
But I am learning to fly--very slowly. I agree it is better living close to the ground.
I hope my relationships can handle my lessons.
