Sue, yesterday one of the things I was seeing at the heart of Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and Love was the invitation to be a bridge that others might cross over in order to find something better then where they are at at the present time.
The post evolved. When I first posted it it was just the Chinese Art. Then a few mintues later I was listening to some music on Youtube and found the video and felt like adding it. Then I went off to find a Chinese or Japanese Garden photo and that photo popped up.
So just like many things in life being open to the interpretation of the reader this post for me yesterday spoke of peacemaking/bridge building.
"The biblical God lets us make our own history, and goes with us on the more or less unheard-of adventures we concoct." --Jacques Ellul
"Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from a religious conviction."Blaise Pascal
"In order to live, we need truth to be expressed by the most fragile agent, so that the listener remains free."Jacques Ellul
"The deeper the love goes...the deeper the bruising." Over The Rhine
"Only love, only love can leave such a mark...But only love, only love can heal such a scar"U2
"You don’t know, and you don’t get it, do you? You don’t know how beautiful you are"U2
“As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness weakness.” Henry David Thoreau
"The garden is the only place there is, but you will not find it until you have looked for it everywhere and found nowhere that is not desert." W. H. Auden
