I decided to do a removal and transplant yesterday. The Colorado Spruce in the first picture was looking pretty rough and was getting too large for the space. That picture was taken during the winter. So I cut it down...dug out the stump and moved a weeping Colorado Spruce from another part of the garden where it was being crowded out. It is such a cool looking tree it deserved a spot where it would be a focal point.

Very familiar these photos are to me. Just think, I was walking around in your garden but six days ago...
These are taken on the right side of the house am I correct? I love how green everything is!!!
yep, it is on the right side of the house and yep you were standing right there just a week ago.
Are those hostas in the top right photo? They look huge!!!
Is gardening something that came naturally to you? I'm not a visual person, so I can't imagine creating the beautiful spaces that you have.
Yes those are hostas and they are so cool when they get as big as these are.
And yes...the visual stuff comes pretty naturally to me. Back when we were stupid kids...late teens, we went to a psychic for the fun of it. The thing she told me that always stuck with me was that I would be able to see colors other people couldn't see. I don't know about that but I do notice color combinations others miss. They just stand out to me. I think that is why the color combinations in nature make me silly...whether the colors in the sky or in the plants on the ground. And as far as plants go, you can tell I am a foliage kinda guy before I'm a flower guy. Foliage color lasts the whole season...flowers don't.
