MAYBE SOMEDAY...MAYBE NOT????

I have a dream that began to grow in my heart a few years ago. To move to a piece of property with a modest home and design a garden around a small studio salon and guest cabin. Maybe a quiet meditative Japanese Garden or a quiet woodland garden. Either way, I know it will be a quiet space, one that whispers to all that enter, that life is found in the quieting of our minds...the silencing of the noise created by all the ridiculous voices that surround us and stepping out of the soul diminishing/crushing pace that this world is hell bent on dragging us around in.

I don't feel compelled to knock doors down to make things happen anymore. But if such a door presents itself, I might just walk through it.

If it doesn't, I'm pleased to say that I'm okay with that also. I'm learning how to live in peace right where I am at.

May it be as you envision it, my friend!

We'll see Ron. As you have probably read on here before our present salon (my brother is the owner) is being forced to move. Our lease is up and will not be renewed next April. There is certainly going to be a change between now and then. Just don't know what it will look like yet.

The thought of renting another spot from someone that can move you out on a whim when something comes along that works out better for their bottom line just creates problems. And believe it or not even in this economic downturn, lease prices have just skyrocketed.

Kent, Camp Buckeye is looking for a Property Manager/Caretaker. There is a 3 bedroom cottage on the property for living quarters. We have 92 mostly wooded acreage & have guests using the facility. Serenity Cabin is a retreat cabin - free to full-time pastors.... as I read your dreams, I thought....hmmmmm.... my dream (my hubby & I are founders of Camp Buckeye) is to have a prayer garden....we did create a labyrinth on an awesome hillside last spring. (I still need to get it posted on our website) My desire is to continue to create a safe place for people to come and through connecting w/nature also connect w/the Creator. It is an awesome place! (we live .8 mile from the camp) so check out the website and perhaps your dream & ours will mesh :o) www.campbuckeye.org -a perfect place for reflection/writing/living!
We are a 501c3 and our summer camping ministry is outreach. Viola

Love this post, Kent. Learning to live in the unknown and to be at peace with it is wonderful. I'm also growing in that and your posts have been a great encouragement to me as I'm learning to accept life as it is.
